Reaching Rank 10 makes regular Lure Modules last for one hour, while Rank 20 provides additional Stardust when catching Hatenna and Wattrel. Staraptor Super Mega Raid Day
On September 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Staraptor takes the spotlight in Super Mega Raids, marking Mega Staraptor’s Pokémon GO debut. Shiny Staraptor also has an increased encounter chance during the event, while Staraptor caught from Super Mega Raids will have Mega Level 1 unlocked.
Beyond its debut, Staraptor also gains access to the new Super Max progression system. Trainers must first raise its Mega Level to the third level, Max, before progressing to Super Max. Simply Mega Evolving Staraptor once will not be enough, and Mega Energy is required to power up its Mega Level.
Adding to its raid appeal, Mega Staraptor gains access to the additional Charged Attack Brave Bird+. In Trainer Battles, the attack has 70 power and lowers the user’s Defense by three stages. In Raid Battles, it has 150 power, with its power increasing according to the Pokémon’s Mega Level.

Dancing in the Moonlight runs from September 23 at 10:00 a.m. through September 27 at 11:59 p.m. local time in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Phantump Catch Mastery
On September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time, Phantump becomes the featured Pokémon for Catch Mastery.
Phantump will appear through Field Research, free Timed Research, and paid Timed Research, with an increased chance of encountering Shiny Phantump. Cherubi and Drifloon will also appear more frequently in the wild, with increased chances of encountering their Shiny forms.
Catch-focused Trainers can also benefit from 2× XP and increased Candy when landing Nice Throws or better. With Phantump available through both free and paid research, Trainers have several ways to increase their number of encounters during the event.
Harvest Festival: Applin Picking
Harvest Festival: Applin Picking begins on September 29 at 10:00 a.m. and continues through October 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Its biggest attraction is the Pokémon GO debut of Shiny Applin, while Shiny Smoliv also has an increased encounter chance.
During the event, activated Mossy Lure Modules will only attract apples. Tapping these apples can reward Tart Apples, Sweet Apples, Syrupy Apples, or encounters with event-themed Pokémon such as Cottonee wearing a flower crown and Applin.
Another important choice comes through branching Timed Research, which lets Trainers select Tart Apples, Sweet Apples, or Syrupy Apples. This makes the choice of research path relevant for players who are working toward specific Applin evolution resources.
The event GO Pass also adds useful bonuses. At Rank 1, Applin has an increased chance of holding Tart Apples, Sweet Apples, or Syrupy Apples when caught. The costumed Pikachu can be encountered through wild encounters, Timed Research, and surprise snapshot encounters. The event-themed wild pool includes Caterpie, Oddish, Gloom, Bellsprout, Ledyba, Ledian, Hoppip, Skiploom, Sunkern, and Wurmple, with increased chances of encountering their Shiny forms.
Timed Research extends beyond the main event window, running from September 28 at 6:00 a.m. through October 10 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Incense lasts for two hours during the event and has a higher chance of attracting the costumed Pikachu and other event-themed Pokémon.
A Collection Challenge will also be available, rewarding XP, Stardust, and event-themed stickers.
Harvest Festival: Taken Over
Harvest Festival: Taken Over runs from October 2 at 12:00 a.m. through October 5 at 8:00 p.m. local time. At the centre of the event is Shadow Zekrom, which Trainers can pursue by progressing through the Harvest Festival GO Pass to obtain a Super Rocket Radar and then tracking down Giovanni at PokéStops.
The Shadow Pokémon lineup also expands, with Shadow Wimpod, Shadow Fomantis, and Shadow Sandygast joining the event. Rocket activity will intensify throughout the event, with Team GO Rocket appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.
Eggs introduce another major collection target, as Shiny Shroodle makes its debut through hatching Eggs during the event. Shiny Slugma also has an increased encounter chance, while Charged TMs can be used to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon throughout the event. Event-themed Field Research can also reward Fast TMs, Charged TMs, and Mysterious Components, adding another way to prepare for Team GO Rocket encounters.
Shadow Raids receive a notable change during the event period. Pokémon caught from one-star and three-star Shadow Raids will have a wider variance in their Attack, Defense, and HP, creating more variation in the stats of Shadow Pokémon obtained from these encounters.
One collection detail is particularly important: Shadow Pokémon and Purified Pokémon cannot fuse with other Pokémon.
Gigantamax Cinderace Max Battle Day
On October 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Trainers can challenge Gigantamax Cinderace in six-star Max Battles, with Shiny Gigantamax Cinderace making its debut.
Max Particle availability receives a major boost during the event. The collection limit rises to 1,600, all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, additional Power Spots will become active, and Power Spots will refresh more frequently. Trainers can also receive 8× Max Particles from Power Spots.
The Remote Raid limit will also increase from 10 to 20 from October 2 at 5:00 p.m. PDT through October 3 at 8:00 p.m. PDT.
From midnight until 5:00 p.m. on October 3, Trainers can receive 2× Max Particles from exploring, while the Adventuring distance required to receive Max Particles is reduced to one quarter. Trainers must first collect all available Max Particles shown in the Nearby menu for these bonuses to apply.
Up to three Special Trades will also be available during the event. The US$4.99 event ticket provides Timed Research with one Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP, and 6,400 Max Particles, alongside 2× XP from Max Battles.
Zorua Community Day
This event arrives on October 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, with Zorua appearing more frequently in the wild and an increased chance of encountering its Shiny form. Evolving Zorua during the event or up to four hours afterwards will give Zoroark the Fast Attack Sucker Punch.
The event also features 3× Catch XP, 2× Catch Candy, and a 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catches. Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, activated during the event lasts three hours, while regular Lure Modules last one hour. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., active regular Lure Modules also have a very high chance of attracting Zorua, with those encounters retaining an increased Shiny chance and the possibility of a Special Background.
Trading bonuses will also be active, with a 50% reduction in Stardust costs and one additional Special Trade available for a maximum of two for the day. Field Research and paid Special Research provide further opportunities to encounter Zorua, including versions with a Special Background.
October Community Day and upcoming events
The month will also include Hatch Day on October 17, Max Battle Day on October 24, and Super Mega Raid Day on October 31. These dates have been officially confirmed, while the featured Pokémon and detailed bonuses for those later events have yet to be announced.
