Latest updates

Echo stacking improves inventory management

Echo management is receiving one of the more substantial quality-of-life changes in Version 3.7. Unequipped and non-upgraded Echoes will automatically stack into a single backpack item when they share the same Echo type, Sonata Effect, and Main Stat, with each stack supporting up to 999 matching Echoes.

Existing Echo statuses are also taken into account, following the priority of Locked, Discarded, then Unmarked when determining the status associated with a stack. This should make large collections of duplicate Echoes considerably easier to organise without requiring players to manage every individual entry manually.

Version 3.7 also expands Echo Recommendation support for Resonators with two Resonance Modes, providing Echo set recommendations tailored to each applicable mode.

Main Quest Replay brings back earlier stories

Through the Journey Log, players will gain access to Main Quest Replay, allowing them to revisit selected story content from earlier versions. At launch, the feature covers main quests from Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons, the Moon-Chasing Festival event from Version 1.2: In the Turquoise Moonglow, and main quests from Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End.

Replay progress is saved when players leave the feature, while the replay progress can also be reset manually. The system is designed to make selected older story content accessible again without interfering with the player’s current Main Quest progress.

Expands the camera system

Photography receives a major upgrade with several new controls and shooting options. The expanded Camera System adds Handheld Mode and Selfie Mode. Tripod Mode also receives a more freely controllable drone perspective, allowing for greater control over camera positioning.

Additional tools include Reference Lines, Quick Focus, and Lens Templates, alongside controls for time, weather, and foliage wind direction. Global filters and lighting adjustments offer additional control over the final look of each shot.

More flexible team management

Team organisation is also being expanded in Version 3.7. Up to 20 team setups can now be saved, with options to rename and reorder each composition.

Players can also use 3D Team Setup Mode to view their saved teams from another perspective. However, the 3D display may not be supported on every device, meaning the feature’s availability can vary depending on the player’s hardware.

New events coming in version 3.7

Version 3.7 features a mix of combat, exploration, leisure, photography, web, and login activities beyond the main story.

Cubie Wars and Echo Erase are Leisure events that offer activities beyond the update’s main combat and exploration content. Meanwhile, Artisan’s Search serves as the Featured Combat Event, while Dreams in the Capsule and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang focus more heavily on exploration.

Tiered client resource downloads

Another quality-of-life addition is the new Tiered Client Resource Downloads system, which will enter a limited test across PC, iOS, and Android. The system gives eligible players more control over how much game data they need to download. Upgrade your setup with the best gaming laptops available to experience the stunning visuals and fast-paced combat of Wuthering Waves Version 3.7.

On PC, players will be able to choose between UHD, HD, and SD resource packages, while mobile devices will offer HD and SD options. This should give players greater flexibility when balancing visual quality against storage requirements.
